SOZAR

Union of Zoos and Aquariums of Russia was founded in 2017 in Moscow, but already before that (since 1993) was de facto preceded by Council for Coordination of Activities of Russian Zoos - SKDZ (Совет по координации деятельности зоопарков России). The Union of Russian Zoos itself uses the same abbreviation in Cyrillic and Latin - СOЗАР / SOZAR, foreign organizations more often use the abbreviation based on English - UZAR, sometimes also RUZA.
