    South East Asian Zoo Association

    South East Asian Zoo Association was founded in 1990 in Indonesia, but already before that, since 1988, it had existed informally as South East Asian Zoos. SEAZA unites 6 national associations (Philippine, Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai and Taiwanese) and about three dozen zoological gardens of Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and several other zoos from outside the region (Australia, China, Czech rep., Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea, UAE). It is always based where the director is from - currently in the Philippines.
