Liptovský Mikuláš Zoo Contact

New private contact zoo on a rented field opposite the Tatralandia amusement park, where is prohibition of any buildings (which have foundations), so that only lightweight wooden construction are here, the outer fence is of straw bales... no any tree, no shady place for animals and visitors. In winter, animals are moved off-site to a warm room or are sold. Almost all the animals are used for contact (with the staff assistance) - until it was only domestic animals and several common species, everything was OK, however recently more and more rare (primarily non-contact) species are added, that probably cannot work for a longer time in the EU... because the zoo gets more and more on a "circus" level of Asia or South America ... All the more so that for example the contact with lion cubs is separately paid

Lions, foxes, raccoons, coatis, martens, talapoin, camels, llamas, alpacas, horses, donkeys, ponies, mouflons, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, brushtail possum, chipmunks, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, emus, horned owls, parrots (macaws, conures, budgies...), small songbirds, ravens, ducks, geese, chickens, turtles, lizards... Animal species are changed each year (some are sold in the winter). In past years there were also wallabies, genet, skunks, patas monkey, roe deer, hedgehogs, snakes...
