Zoo Jászberény • Jászberényi Állatkert Jászberény Zoological and Botanical Gardens

Originally insignificant zoo under leading of the factory for the production of refrigerators (LEHEL). It used to be in so bad condition, that in the mid 90th was have to be abolished. Eventually it came under municipality management and was gradually modernized and reshaped to the zoological and botanical garden. Since the beginning the zoo is characterized by the rectangular arrangement of paths and exposures. Terrarium, lions, hyenas, bears, wolves, lynx, otters, monkeys (macaques, gibbons, lemurs, marmosets etc.), kangaroos, emus, parrots, water birds, deer, wild boars, camels, lamas, domestic animals etc.
