The oldest Hungarian zoo and 25th oldest zoo of the world. Behind the majestic entrance, around the "small and big rocks" there are about 900 animal species and a number of pavilions, expositions and a buildings (some among others also by Hagenbeck)... Orangery (Palmház) with an aquarium etc., South American, Australian, Madagascar and Southeastern Asia house, great apes house, Savannah house (giraffes, antelopes ...), Venom house (Mérgesház), expositions of bears, polar bears and sea lions, the old elephant pavilion (shaped like a Turkish mosque), the zoo's oldest building - Owl Castle (Bagolyvár), Váraszhegyet (Magic Mountain)... In 2014, new part of the zoo - so called Holnemvolt Park was opened in former Vidámpark (amusement park).
