Bőzsénfa Deer Farm

Experimental project with EU support - from the middle of a purely commercial farm (trophy hunting, meat and meat products), and half or more tourist vadaspark "petting zoo of wild animals" (as the Hungarians call it). The farm is 1300 ha (majority of which is commercial part).

Visitors part has 2 zones - one with wild and the other with domestic animals. "Wild zone" consits of enclosures with "Hungarian Big 5" (red deer, fallow deer in three colour form, roe deer, mouflon, wild boar) + Pere's David deer - wild boar are two smaller runs, the other animals in a one giant. Many animals are tame (for smoothing). "Domestic zone" consists of enclosures with Hungarian breeds of domestic animals (racka sheep, Hungarian cattle, water buffaloes, goats, horses, donkeys etc.) + Hungarian farm house.

The farm works for visitors in style of Eurosafari - walking, by bus, by tractor with a specialy adapted flatbed or by horse-drawn dray.
