Pécsi Állatkert és Akvárium - Terrárium *1 Pécs Zoo and Aquarium - Terrarium *1

Very unusual and interesting device - 5 large and 31 smaller aquariums and 27 terrariums in the catacombs of 400 years old (about 10 m under ground) - numerous of fishes, snakes, various lizards, crocodiles and a few invertebrates. In the courtyard there were pens of terrestrial tortoises, ducks and otters and aviaries of parrots. In the ground floor of courtyard's building there is night house (fruit bats, gliders, kinkajou, etc.).

In 2014 overall reconstruction of zoo began and lasted until the spring of 2016, the zoo was closed during all the time - only the Aquarium and Terrarium in city center was opened. After the reconstruction of the Zoo - about two months before its reopening, the Aquarium and Terrarium was abolished and the animals were moved to the renovated zoo.
