Bird Park Lóri (Lóri = lory, lorikeet)

Private bird park, which was created already during the socialism in the Old City of Dunaújváros beside Szórád Márton School. At the time, reportedly the most diverse collection of birds in Hungary - around 80 aviaries and about 50 species and 250 specimens of birds (parrots from Africa, Australia, Indonesia, India and South America, raptors, owls, geese, ducks, swans, pheasants, peacocks...). Shortly there was a bear and also purchase of chimpanzee was planned. Some of kept birds belonged to the great rarities - eg. chattering lories were the only ones in Hungary.

The Bird Park was member of the Hungarian Association of Zoos until the early 90s. In 1992, local government offered an Amusement park as a new land for the Bird park, but the offer was not accepted. Still in the same year, the reconstruction of the original park began. Any information about the Bird park in time after 1992 is not available, but it is clear that it was closed either even during the 90s or no later than in early new millennium.
