Letohrad Aviaries of exotic birds

System of bird aviaries in the Chateau park. Originally, there were several greenhouses and orangery, in the second half of the 20th century the orangery was rebuilt into a public toilet. In 2005, at the entrance of the castle terrace there were built new toilets and old stopped working. Subsequently it was decided that the object will be converted into a public aviaries for exotic birds. New very modern aviaries were opened on the 30th June 2011. Six aviary made of mesh and glass and the building with the background and inner sleeping quarters of parrots - parrots of Australia and one species from South America - Galah cockatoo, red-winged parrot, Australian king parrot, superb parrot, crimson rosella and orange-winged Amazon. planned were also pale-headed rosella and regent parrot. The aviaries become a popular tourist place for schools of the whole district within a few months of operation, so it is planned (if will be sufficient funds) to build one more aviary system for European birds (song birds and pheasants).
