The famous coffee house Amerika was built in Egerland style on the banks of pond of the same name in the 19th century (1898). Františkovy Lázně Beautifying Association decided to build here so-called Městský lesík (urban grove). Therefore, in 1905 the Condenhov Count Avenue (Westland Avenue) was brought from Western Park to the cafeteria. Subsequently, arbour Waldfrieden (1906) and arbour Stella (1908) were built in an urban grove, then various bridges, fences, benches etc. were added - everything from birch logs. In 1932 it was intended to build a small zoo next to the keeper's house. It was subsequently realized. At that time, named Tiergarten. Reportedly there were monkeys, badgers and other animals. In the 60s, the zoo expanded further below the forester's house. In recent years there have been bred emus, goats, wild boars, deer, peacocks, pheasants, waterfowl etc. During the socialism the concept of urban grove disappeared, as well as gazebos, bridges or the connection to coffee house Amerika.

The contemporary mini-zoo within the frame of the nature trail was built in 2009, for the most part from EU funds. The extensive enclosure of llamas, two smaller enclosures for ponies, goats and wood ducks with a pond with fishes and two large aviaries (raccoons, snowy owls), as well as everything else - benches, signposts, children's playground etc. is inspired by the culture of the Aztecs. According to the original plans, in the mini-zoo there should / could be in the future also deer (white-tailed deer, wapiti, reindeer...), waterfowl and ostriches (rheas apparently).
