Dobříš Manor house Mini-zoo

Mini-zoo in the English garden of Dobříš Manor house was founded by noble family Colloredo-Mansfeld in the early 20th century. They breeded there mainly forest animals. In the 50s the animals disappeared from the manor house. In 1992 and after that in 1997 there was some attemps to restore a mini-zoo - at first it was several handicapped animals, after that breeding was restored only in five aviaries and soon was abolished again. The current mini zoo is in operation since 2013 and consists of two parts - 5 aviaries with handicaps (horned owls, tawny owls, buzzards, kestrels and fox) in the English park, which are operates by Ochrana Fauny ČR Hrachov (rescue station) and enclosures of white-tailed deer and fallow deer in the French garden.
