Šluknovská zoo (zvěřinec)  Šluknov Zoo (Menagerie)

About this zoo there are absolutely no information - the only source is a postcard from the turn of the century (sent 1901, however printed aldready in 18?? - see link below), which shows an aviary, enclosures, fountain or pool, goat, macaws, cockatoos and a monkey (perhaps orangutan). According to the inscription "Lieferung Aller Arten Wild & Wildgeflügel" (a delivery of all species of animals and plumed animals) can sense the that the animals were also items of trade. In the postcard there is mentioned Alfred Kindermann as the owner - least 5 (probably more) men of this name were in Šluknov. Šluknov used to be a city with almost all the inhabitants reporting for Germany - 3580 of total 3589 people voted in the referendum (October 4, 1938 - in the day of the visit of Adolf Hitler in Šluknov) for joining the German Reich. After the war the Germans were forcibly displaced, so that today there are no witnesses.
