Arboretum Nový Dvůr

Arboretum still exists, but once there used to be a mini-zoo with about 140 species of animals - mostly small birds (exotics, parrots, small owls), a number of different rodents and terrarium animals, but also emus, cranes, waterfowl, kingfishers, buzzards, wallabies, squirrel monkeys, bushbabies, lemurs, fruit bats, tree shrews, porcupines, hedgehogs, sugargliders and domestic animals. Mini-zoo was abolished in 1999, animals were moved to the Pilsen Zoo. In 2009 the zoo-corner was restored but only in the form of a small petting zoo - several domestic animals in a one enclosure (sheep, Cashmere and pygmy goats, pot belly pigs, pigeons, rabbits, hens, muscovy ducks, etc.). A new zoo-corner is so small and there is so few animals that it can not be listed among the zoos.
